Eva Group appoints renowned PR leader, Murray Chalmers, to its Board
17 July 2025
Eva Group, the UK’s first luxury LGBT care home brand, is proud to announce the appointment of Murray Chalmers to its Board as an Advisor.
Murray Chalmers runs one of the most respected and successful music and arts PR companies in the UK. Over a career spanning 40 years he has worked with artists including Kate Bush, Radiohead, Pet Shop Boys, Robbie Williams, Kylie Minogue, Noel Gallagher, Dusty Springfield, Morrissey, Coldplay, Elton John, New Order, Paloma Faith and Yoko Ono/John Lennon Estate.
Murray Chalmers PR also represents Apple Music and the iconic Abbey Road Studios and won the Outstanding Contribution to Music PR award in 2011.
"As a gay man of 65 I feel we must do all we can to combat ageism, isolation and the many other issues facing our increasingly marginalised communities"
He said today; “I’m very excited to be working with the Eva Group on this brilliant and much-needed venture. As a gay man of 65 I feel we must do all we can to combat ageism, isolation and the many other issues facing our increasingly marginalised communities."
"Growing up gay in Dundee, I was emboldened by artists like Derek Jarman, Edmund White, Quentin Crisp and Gertrude Stein, trailblazing figures who fought the prejudice of past times with extreme courage. Now, as an older gay man, it is apparent to me that there is so little understanding or provision for our LGBTQ communities, both in general society and in care provision. I believe that the work the Eva Group does will initiate a very real change in that”.
Elizabeth Lichten, CEO and Co-founder of Eva Group, said of the appointment; "From the minute we first discussed Eva Group, Murray just got it and we are so honoured to welcome him to the board. His voice and vision have shaped culture for decades, and his deep commitment to LGBTQ+ advocacy is perfectly aligned with our mission to reimagine elder care."
"At a time when demand is growing for inclusive, identity-affirming care, Murray’s insight, network and artistic eye, will be invaluable in helping us build a bold, visible brand that earns trust and delivers for our community."
"We are honoured to welcome Murray to the Eva Group board. His voice and vision have shaped culture for decades"
Eva Group is currently fundraising to develop its first care home, with plans to open in Edinburgh and expand to other UK cities.
The company recently launched a national survey highlighting the demand for LGBTQ+-specific care and has generated significant interest from media, policy stakeholders, and potential residents.
